Here, at Digitalstar.com we make every effort to provide you with the best variety, of quality products and information in order to make sure the item you order is to your complete satisfaction. Despite all efforts, however, you may find a need to return a product you have purchased from Digitalstar.com. This document describes the current Return Policy in force. We reserve the right to make changes and modifications to this policy without prior notice. Please review this page before making your next purchase from Digitalstar.com. By purchasing a product from Digitalstar.com you agree to the terms, conditions and policies described here and other policy pages in effect at the time of sale.
Returns
Digitalstar.com currently offers a 21-day return policy on any non-defective items, unless stated otherwise. This return policy covers all US and Canada orders only. Due to our restriction of sales beyond USA and Canada markets, no returned items will be accepted from other international locations. In order to receive full refund for the product you are returning, you must follow the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)Process (described below) and have your product delivered to our facilities no later than 21 calendar days after we have shipped the product to your location, regardless of when you accepted the product. All products returned after this period or sent to a location not specified on the return instructions, may be refused and no refund may be issued.
All non-defective and defective returns that are deemed non-defective upon inspection at our facilities are subject to a 20% - 25% restocking fee (depending on product manufacturer). Shipping and handling fees are not refundable. When returning a product, you will also be required to pay the return shipping, which will be deducted from your refund amount. For further information not listed, please contact our Customer Support.
In order to receive a refund for a non-defective product, the returned item must be in new, sellable condition and include all original packing, manuals, and software. If we receive the product with missing or damaged contents, the return may be refused and no refund will be issued. This Return policy will be strictly enforced.
All shipping fees are non-refundable on any return except that which is determined to be a mis-shipment. Mis-shipment is defined as shipment of product to a wrong address, or shipment of product other than the one ordered and specified on the order. All orders are fulfilled using manufacturer name and product SKU. If you receive product that does not match this criteria it may qualify as a misshipment. Please contact Customer Service to notify them of possible mis-shipment and to seek immediate remedy.
RMA Procedure
Please request a Return Merchandise Authorization number and shipping instructions through your Digitalstar.com Account Order summary or by email sent to Customer Support. Once your RMA request is received and processed, you will receive, via email, the Return instructions. This may take up to 5 business days. Please read and follow the instructions carefully.
DO NOT SHIP RETURNS TO OUR CORPORATE ADDRESS, unless you were advised to do so by our Customer Support representative, in writing. Any return without accompanying RMA number shall be refused. Each issued RMA is good for 21 calendar days from the issue date. After 21 days, returns must be made directly to the manufacturer.
Returns must be sent via freight pre-paid by UPS, Federal Express, or any other freight carrier that issues a tracking number to the address provided by our RMA Department. To expedite processing of your return, please inform Digitalstar.com Customer Service about your return, provide the name of the freight carrier and the tracking number for this shipment.
The customer is solely responsible for any desired insurance on the package. Digitalstar.com is not responsible for any losses or damages of the item while in transit. Make sure to specify the RMA number on the outside of your package. Do not write anything on the product packaging as it may be refused on the grounds of being in non-sellable condition. If RMA number is not clearly visible when delivered, it will be refused. A $35.00 re-packaging fee will be charged for products returned in the non-original packaging.
Please allow 10-15 business days after all goods received for refunds to be processed. Your refund will be applied in the same manner of payment as used in the original purchase. At our discretion, we may issue a company check in lieu of credit to your credit card.
Replacements and exchanges
A replacement of a defective item may be requested when returning the original product. This request may be fulfilled only at the discretion of our Customer Service department and based on the availability of same or similar products. Please note that a replacement item may be shipped to you only after we receive and process your returned product. If a replacement is needed immediately, it is suggested that you request a credit (rather than a replacement), when obtaining an RMA number, place a new order and inform Customer Service regarding this. In either case, you may be charged a separate shipping/handling fee for the new shipment. The new order will be fulfilled as soon as the product is available. Your account for the original order will be credited approximately 10-15 business days after we receive and process the returned product. Digitalstar.com reserves the right to refuse an RMA or to issue only one RMA per returned product. All RMA are effective for 21 calendar days, unless stated otherwise. Your shipment may be refused on the account of an outdated RMA number. Digitalstar.com is not responsible for shipping costs on replacement RMAs.
Mis-shipments
If the item delivered to you was not the item you placed the order for or if you never received the product you ordered, please contact Digitalstar.com Customer Support immediately. Mis-shipment is defined as shipment of product to a wrong address, or shipment of product other than the one ordered and specified on the order. All orders are fulfilled using manufacturer name and product SKU. If you receive product that does not match this criteria it may qualify as a misshipment. We are not responsible for incorrect specifications, images or weights as typographical mistakes occasionally happen. Please see our Terms of Use Policy for more details. If the product you received is completely unrelated to the product you ordered, it will be considered mis-shipped and qualifies for a full credit including shipping credit. Our Customer Service specialists will investigate this occurrence and upon determination of a mis-shipment will re-ship your product to you. In the unlikely event that we cannot replace your mis-shipped order with same or like product, you will be issued a full refund including shipping and handling. In addition, we will send a prepaid shipping tag in order for you to return the mis-shipped product back to Digitalstar.com at our expense. You will be credit for the mis-shipment as soon as we receive and process a return of the incorrect product.
Non-returnable items
Any product that is marked as non-returnable will not be accepted as returned or refused at our facilities and no refund will be issued. This policy is strictly enforced. If you experience problems or suspect that a non-returnable product was received defective, you must contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
Non-refundable Items
The following list describes all items which do not qualify for any full or partial refund.
- Shipping and handling costs, wire transfer fees, customs and brokerage fees.
- Any physically damaged or defaced items. Any damage as a result of shipping must be filed with the carrier immediately and prior to any requests for an RMA number.
- Panasonic Fax Machines, DVD Players, VCR’s, Camcorders and Digital Cameras.
- Items with missing original manufacturer packaging materials, warranty cards, manual, driver CD, cables and/or other supporting materials and accessories.
- Video Games
- Internal Computer Memory products
- Items that are marked as non-returnable.
Duplicate shipments
On very rare occasions you may be shipped a duplicate item in addition to the item(s) you had placed the order for. The best course of action is to refuse the additional shipment and have it returned to sender. If we receive the incorrectly shipped item as it was refused by the customer, this matter will be handled internally with no cost to you.
If you accept the duplicate shipment, please contact customer service immediately to remedy the situation. Digitalstar.com reserves the right to collect shipping and handling fees for any shipment that has been accepted by the customer.
